Born in Brooklyn, New York, I attended Xaverian HS, graduating in 1976, then Brooklyn College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1980. After completing the professional experience requirement, I was licensed as a CPA in 1982. I attended Brooklyn Law School from 1984 to 1987, earning my Juris Doctor degree. I was licensed as an attorney in 1987 and have been practicing law since.
In high school and college, I ran fundraisers, worked as a sales clerk, bank teller, bookkeeper, and accountant. I then earned my CPA working at a worldwide accounting firm, taking on many smaller audits and consulting projects so as to obtain a more varied and full business experience. I then worked in tax for several years, to develop my tax and tax planning skills. I learned many lessons and skills from these experiences, which I continue to develop and apply to this day.
I started Visci & Associates as a tax practice to support myself while in law school. When I began practicing law I focused the practice on Estates, Real Estate, Business, and Tax. I did so as they are interrelated areas of law and the natural extension of my business, economics, and tax background. In planning my office, I committed to maintaining an experienced dedicated staff, and strong computer systems, working environment, and client process.
My particular background, and experience working with individuals and families, has allowed me to help clients evaluate their options and plan more completely. We apply these skills when providing legal services in any one area of law and, when knowledge of more than one of our practice areas is a must, in developing integrated solutions. My litigation experience allows us to protect our clients’ interests when all else fails.
This foundation has allowed me to carryout the career I began developing long ago, providing our clients caring and practical advice, efficient, well priced and responsive services in the areas of law in which we practice.
Today more than ever, in New York where I started and in New Jersey where my family and I have made our home, I enjoy meeting and working with people from every walk of life and background, listening to their concerns, reviewing their options, helping them achieve their goals and protect their success.
